Handknotted

Tibetan knots are made by looping yarn around a temporary rod placed in front of the warp and woven through two warps. This type of knotting is suited for modern designs and although takes less time than Persian knotted rugs to make

Handloom
Hand loom rug is traditionally handwoven on a vertical loom with a mounted wrap. They often have no fringes or proper secured ends or sides.
Flatweave
A flatweave rug is created using a weaving technique which involves the weaving of wool (or the chosen material) around warp thread pairs. When finished, these fibres create the entirety of the rug’s surface.
Jute
The jute rug is made of fibers from the jute plant, which is found in Asia. This type of fiber is known for being durable, so it's used in burlap fabric, ropes and rugs of all shapes and sizes. Despite its ability to stand up to years of use, the jute rug is surprisingly soft.
Kilim
Kilim rugs were traditionally boldly colored and had geometric patterns, while Dhurries were more pastel and tended toward more flowing stylized designs.
Handtufted
A hand-tufted rug is made partially by hand and partially by a mechanized tool. This type of rug is made of wool.
